Haecksen Statement

You may have already heard the rumour that there’ve been problems behind the scenes. In this post, we’d like to take a stand on the current situation.
In recent years, the Remote Rhein Ruhr Stage and the Haecksen collaborated for events during the Remote Congress Expierence and for Fireshonks. This year it was also our intention to offer people a virtual stage under the motto „FireShonks23: Try this at home“ and to produce talks and workshops.
We Haecksen acted as part of the organisational team and contributed actively. It was with great regret that we took note of the developments of the last few days and decided to withdraw from the disbanded Fireshonks team.
As of 12/12/2023: Volunteers are endeavouring to produce the submitted talks as originally planned. Please understand that we cannot any further information, as we have withdrawn from all organisational activities. Nevertheless, we are doing our best within the scope of our possibilities to maintain the feasibility of the event. With the speakers and helping elves in mind, we hope that the talks and workshops can still take place.
We would like to thank everyone who has organised, planned, produced, processed tickets, been in contact with the speakers and set up on site over the last few months for their hard work and commitment. We wish you a relaxing end of the year in which you can regenerate and spend time with those who are most dear to you.
